What do I need to consider and keep in mind to attract the positive attention and interest of girls?

Question - (8 December 2012) 1 Answers - (Newest, 8 December 2012)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

People have told me that I could be good with girls.

My friends and family tell me that I'm not ugly and that I could I get a girlfriend if I wanted to. (I don't have any female friends)

Whenever I'm at school I walk by myself or sit by myself and whenever I see girls ask their friends if they would ever date me. Their reaction is "hahaha ummmmmm no"

I don't get it.

How am I capable of getting girls if this is how they view me?

Could it be because some people think I act weird?

I used to attract soooo many girls before I hit 15. That was when I hit the hormonal stage of puberty and I just started acting differently. I'm 18 now by the way.

Yeah but why do they laugh at the thought of me? People always tell me that I look really depressed at school and have a droopy face cause of it, but when I'm happy I don't make that face. Could that be the reason?
