Im more and more lonely, I barely have any friends left, and none of them cares.I am in a relationship for 10 months now. I always have great support in my girlfriend, when im depressed i call her and i feel a little bit better. We both had 5 days off from school, she was busy catching up for school and stuff. But she went to a party with friends, and she got drunk/smoked weed, so i got a little bit disappointed, that she couldn't find time for me but she could to all that other stuff. She called me ; a jealous a*****le. I called her, to talk, but she claimed she doesn't have time to deal with my problems. Im just feeling very very depressed. I cried on the phone, and she just hang up and turned of her cellphone. No one seems to care, not my friends, not my girlfriend. I have to say my girlfriend is anorexic, and I have always shown great support, but when things change she cant be a***d.Thanks for even reading my problem.

reader, anonymous, writes (12 April 2009): This is going to be difficult, but you need to seek outside support. Depression can be seen as a stigma in society, but it actually happens more than people realize. As the other person mentioned, going out there to have fun but more importantly you are going to have to seek outside help to deal with this. Make new friends and spend time outside of the house/apartment. Just because you don't have a lot of friends, doesn't mean nobody cares for you. It takes effort to have friends, and you should try to go out there so that you can meet new people. You never know who is out there going through something like you, as well amazing friendships you can develop. You are the focus right now, so do somethinig for yourself and you will see that you just as important as anyone else. You are still young and have lots of time. You have the world waiting for you, so go out there and make the best of it.
