reader, anonymous, writes (8 February 2011): In many if not all states in the US, you can get a no-fault divorce simply on the grounds that you've been separated for a certain length of time--I think it's usually a year or two.
If you haven't talked to a lawyer yet, do so and find out! If there's a law school near you, there may be a legal clinic run by the students (supervised by professors) that you could go to. And many lawyers will not charge for the first visit, so you could find out that way. (Be sure to ask about the fee when you make the appointment.)

reader, anonymous, writes (8 February 2011): Hire a lawyer and sue for divorce... you could be opening yourself up for unintended complexities by still being married to her. She's likely been accruing a right to all your 401K since you've been married, and any social security.
Being married is a legal situation, so is being divorced... unless you want your "wife" to show up and take half your money at 65 you'd best be forcing this to happen.
