I guess your parents just think that at 13 you are too young to date, period. Gentleman or not gentleman.
I think they would not mind , or at least they would turn a blind eye, if you were hanging out with a bunch of friends and among them you had a favorite boy that you flirt with and kiss. But going out on dates ? As a couple ? At 13 ? Come on- it's to early for being emotionally and psychologically able to manage a serious relationship. And if it were just for casual, sexual fun - that too, can, and must, wait .
Talk to your parents if you wish, but respectfully and non-confrontationally. They just want you protect you from being used or emotionally hurt, which , at your age, is far from inpossible.
