 I know what she means. Some girls and even women never grasp this concept, but just continue to change themselves to suit whatever guy they are with. That never works long term and ends in heartbreak when they try to be or find themselves in the relationship. You have to decide who you want to be, what really inspires you, etc. Knowing who you are is very attractive. Nobody likes a fake.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 April 2006): trust me, guys like a girl for who they are. don't try to be anyone else but yourself. if you are confident in who you are and show your unique style and personality, a guy will be attracted to YOU. just think about what kind of guy you are attracted to: he probably isn't trying to be someone he is not, right? but if you want some advice on how to be around the guy you like, just be NICE! show him that you are interested by asking questions, and make eye contact.

But in my opinion, most men prefer a woman with a sense of humour and a laid-back attitude to life. They prefer a girl who can laugh at herself and who they can have a laugh with. And yes, they do like the strange mad types because they find that interesting.

 Well it all depends on the boy becaus eall boys minds re different but normaly guys go for a girl thats herself and doesn't try to act a certain way to get there attention. just be yourself and get to be friends with the guy you want then make the move when the times right.

Speaking from personal experience, if you're wierd then it's very difficult to find guys who will get you and be interested. You tend to find it's the last person you'd ever expect to be the guy who likes you.
