What did their boys joke mean?

A female age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I was talking with some friends (some girls some boys) and I mention how I had many bruises from sports. Boys just laughed and asked where on my body. I told on my legs and they say they were thinking elsewhere. I ask what they ment and they say it was a boys dirty joke. Can please explain I do not know ?
