reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2009): I think he's not sure of your true feelings - it might be that he is doubting your relationship, or that your actions are not reflecting what you say? Perhaps it is his way of saying "Are you sure about me?" I would have a relaxed chat about things and see whether he is happy with life - keep things casual and see what comes up. If you go in with "You said...." etc he will retreat into his man-cave :-)
