Question - (9 April 2009) 4 Answers - (Newest, 9 April 2009)
A female South Africa age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I was really dumb last night completly out of my mind. I was visiting my boyfriend see, to cut all the extra, we had sex although it happened to be the first day or rather first evening of my period. I only noticed that it started after he pulled out, both of us were covered in blood. Gross!...... Anyhow, i normally do all kind of sexual research but really bothered looking up what would or could happen if one had sex once ones period started or ended. Um, question, i know it was silly yet it was misjudged, what could happen and what should i look out for? Thanx a mil!

If you're worried about pregnancy, you're probably fine. Assuming your periods are regular, it's unlikely you could become pregnant at the very beginning of your period. I'm sure you're aware of all the safe sex messages that will be coming as a result of your post. If you were using a condom, then really there's nothing much to be concerned about.
