reader, anonymous, writes (15 October 2011): I've found if my boyfriends fingers have not been cut properly, even the tiniest bit of nail or skin sticking out etc, can cause a lot of pain when he pulls his fingers out. I also suggest along with that, maybe the angle in which he is taking them out. I've noticed with my boyfriend, he is very careful when inserting his fingers, but not as careful when taking them out.

Have you tried it with your own fingers? Maybe it is his nail or something else on the skin.
If you have concerns, you should pay a visit to your GP who can check you over and get you the right diagnosis

Does he maintain his fingernails and skin well? Maybe something is rubbing the wrong way in a more sensitive spot?
