writes:Quick question for fellow females (and men but cant imagine they would be much help on this one) i have read that a common side effect of the contraceptive pill is loss of libido! I am suffering from this I am on the microgynon pill to protect myself from getting pregnant but instead I think it may be putting me off sex all together! I'm either too tired or just simply can't be bothered. Do other women suffer from this, do you believe it's the pill causing the problem? or is it boredom?Are all the pills the same?Any help or advise much appreciated!

reader, anonymous, writes (21 April 2008): hey, im on mycrogynon 30 and have been for a long time, i have found that my libido is very low, i hardly feel 'in the mood' and it annoys me.. so yeah maybe try a different pill, i did alas that didnt work for me either, i couldn't decide what i prefered?? I know this is not much help but just to let you know i'm the same xxxx

 hey ya im on the microgynon 30 pill myself and if anything it strenghens my labido, but stress or a busy life style can lower your libido. i have heard that loss or weakness of the libido can be a common yet mild side affect. but i think it could be combination of the pill and maybe boredom. i hope this helped.
