What can I do to stop him hasseling my girlfriend?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

OK, so this is a real toughy to say the least, and I've got no idea what to do.. so here goes:

I've been dating a girl, and she told me a cop I know (some guy who's fined me for drinking underaged a couple times) has added her to Facebook and MSN and has started trying to get her to go meet with him some night for drinks (and she's younger than me btw).

To make it all the bit worse, he's one of my bosses with his secondary job, and he has a wife and kids.

So what the hell can I do here?

I can't say anything to the guy, and I certainly can't do what I'd like to. I'm thinking maybe print off chat-logs and show them to the police, but he is the police, so they would probably take his word over mine.

Any suggestions? I know my girlfriend won't go with him, but it annoys me to no end knowing that he's hassling her the way he is.

I agree with 'Irish49'. Make sure she blocks him on both msn and facebook, but before she does, ask her to message him telling him to back off. For the love of all things holy, he's the police! He should know better, and know his limits when it comes to these things. Good luck :]

Tell your gf to quit talking to this cop and she should 'block' him, immediately. Both MSN messenger and Facebook have 'blocking' capabilities, for this reason. In time, he'll give up and leave her alone.
