Sometimes when you like guys and you tell them that you like them, it scares them off. Take it from someone who knows. I have been there many, many times. If you decide to go ahead and tell him, he will probably tell you if he likes you. Here's some more advice:If he likes you as a friend, be cool with that. Never lie and say the two of you are going out if you aren't. That's how I messed up my friendship with my crush. Best wishes,Sarah

reader, anonymous, writes (13 May 2005): Hi confused and in love. This is going to sound obvious but then again it is, so here goes. Try simply telling him how you feel because you could drop the biggest and most obvious hints around and some men just won`t get them. This way you also won`t need to read his response because he may innitially be gobsmacked but then he should simply just say either yes or no or give you a straight answer which is so much easier as you instantly know where you both stand then. One of the ways I've always looked for is the doubletake. When someone catches your eye, you do a double take and a man will do the same and will look once, look away then look again. Do you think you could start up a conversation with this guy? He's likely to be as nervous about chatting with you as you are with him. Even a simple thing like saying hello every time you see him will let him know you've noticed him and are a friendly person. Then maybe you could say a bit more than just hello and see how it goes from there. Hope this helps you, good luck x
