Hi, I've been with my bf for about 2 months. It's long distance; he lives in Germany and I'm in London. On Sunday he emailed me and said it wasn't working out and it was hurting him being with me because of the distance. I was wondering why he has suddenly thought of this now when he knew it would be like this. Do you think he may have found someone else?

Possibly, but in all likelihood, he has realized the hardest part of a long distance relationship is the wanting, and the waiting. It is harder for some than others and just being done is easier than dealing with the emotions.

Rainee agony aunt It's possible that he may have found someone else, because it's certainly easy to carry on a relationship with someone closer to home. It may just be that the distance issue didn't hit home until he realized it's hard to progress to higher levels in relationships when the person's not actually /there/...

You could just ask him, but I would let him go. He's in Germany, for goodness sakes'... if he doesn't want to be together anymore, there's no real way you can stop him.
