She's always spoiling me and I love her to bits. Her job means she has to go away sometimes, for usually a week or two. She's just left for work and I'm already missing her so much. I've come up with a plan to keep myself busy; doing my university work and other little projects, but what can I do to welcome her back? I already took her out for a nice meal to say goodbye before she went, so want to do something different for her return. Any ideas of something unique and romantic, preferably not too expensive?

I'm a big fan of hand made gifts. Do you sew or knit? You could make a hat or scarf for her. I am good with origami, so I like to make origami floral arrangements for people I care about. They don't need water and last forever. :-) See, when you make a gift, it shows care and effort.
The other option I like is something thoughtful. Maybe get her something that has a special meaning to the two of you. Maybe a momento of a really nice time together, or a framed picture of the two of you...
