writes: I went on a 3 month holiday during which I ended up gaining 40lbs by accident. Up to that point I had always been thin and worked hard to stay that way. On the holiday I was doing volunteer work and was really busy so the weight crept up on me without me realising it.When I started putting on weight, although I got fatter everywhere, my boobs got bigger faster than anywhere else, and they kept growing and growing. I used to be a B cup, I've put on more weight since the trip and now I'm not having much trouble filling an E cup.As a result, I've been going through bras like water. It seems they keep getting tighter everyday. About a week ago I burst my bra while I was at work. I had to go to the bathroom to take it off. For the rest of the day my breasts kept bouncing and getting in the way. I've tried sports bras, but theyre too constricting. All this has happened so fast for me. I remember being so skinny you could see my ribs. Now my boobs are so big I cant brush my teeth without holding them with my other arm.I'm desparate for advice. My boobs are causing me so much trouble. Can anyone help???

If you are happy with your weight and your are at the right weight for your height then OK.
But what your doctor didn't tell you or you didn't understand is that you can "re-set" your target weight by over eating, or you can lower it through diet and excercise.
If you are working out and building muscle you increase your metabolism and can eat more calories, also you burn calories in your sleep when you excercise and if you have muscles, your muscles naturally burn more calories than the fat in your body.
In fact you can measure your BMI which is body mass index which is more important really than just your weight.

As far as boob tricks, you will wear different size bras over your life and it can change regularly. If your bras don't fit then you aren't going to be comfortable.
Have yourself fitted for a bra at a local department store, they have fitters that can help you select the most supportive and comfortable and attractive bra for you, for free.

Pleasantly Plump is verified as being by the original poster of the questionOnce I got back from my trip and went to the doctors for loads of tests. I got a clean bill of health. I also had to go back 6 months after that and got the same result.
I went on a diet for a while, joined a gym and even had a personal trainer. I only managed to lose about 4lbs in 4 months.
My doctor said that peoples bodies have a target weight - ie a weight they always try to maintain. He though that since I have gotten older my target weight has gone up but just a lot more than average.
Theres nothing going on which has caused my stress and to gain weight. In fact recently I have been the least stressed in my life.
I described my diet, the work and how much I ate in Thailand. He said that he has come across this before. Not only did he say that its normal for people to gain weight holiday, but also given what I did he understands that I gained weight.
People always used to tell me that I was too thin and need to gain weight. Now theyre not saying it anymore. Im a lot more relaxed now that I dont watch everything I eat. I also quite like having a little pot belly. Being a bit fat is better than being too thin.
As for my boobs, well, at least I finally have them. There are plenty of busty women out there and I just have to get used to them too. I was just wondering if any big boobed women out there have any magic tricks they could teach me?

I think you need to make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible to have some blood work done to test your thyroid or for other metabolic disorders. Short of that you need to go on a special diet and excercise to get the weight off. Gaining that much weight in such a short amount of time is not good for you or your heart or your metabolism, and you have stopped excercising.
Are there some things going on in your life that are causing you emotional stress or boredom and you are eating as a way to soothe yourself? Get to the bottom or why you are over eating....and watch what you are eating, count calories and restrict yourself to fewer calories in a day, somewhere between 1300 and 1500 a day at the most.....but your doctor can help determine what you need to do to lose the weight.
