I can tell he likes something about me that could draw him new but then my negative actions(eg saying i'm a man hater etc) hinders him from going the full mile and liking me back.  The next time that you say "I hate all men!" in front of him, quickly add "But, in your case, I'll make an exception!". Throw in a warm smile and touch his forearm too. He should get the hint.
