writes:Over the last couple of years, I have had several guys do this to me and it is driving me crazy. These guys take my things without asking. The first time, a nice guy took my calculator all the time without asking. At first I asked for it back, but he kept doing it so I gave up asking for it back. Now I am in college, and another guy did the same thing. He took my calculator to work on a problem without asking. He just took. I had been flirting with both of these guys, cause I liked them. So I am wondering, do they take my things to see how much I like them? as if I protest I do not like them or if I let them I like them. Or is this immature behavior to get my attention? Or are they just plain dissrespecting me?

 Do they do the same thing to other people? Some people just haven't been raised right. They believe that can just take anything they want because well, nobody ever told them that you should ask first. They feel entitled to just 'borrow' anything and it never enters their head that someone might disagree or at least expect to be asked for.
Always check how a person behaves to others if you want to determine why they behave in a certain way towards you.

 Personally, I dont think they are thinking anything at all. Since you are free enough to flirt with them,they must have assumed that there is no need for formality in borrowing things from "friends". Thats how boys behave. And also, there are other ways of finding out how much a girl liked them than taking her calculator. I suggest that if you dont like their behaviour then you tell them politely to at least inform you when they borrow things from you. And of course, they dont mean to disrespect you. Another case might just be because they are pulling your leg or teasing you n if that is so then you should just laugh it off than make an issue out of it since they mean no harm
