writes:Ladies i want to really spoil my wife for her birthday. She doesn't like music much. She loves the outdoors. This last twelve months have been tough for her at work and i hate seeing her look so sad. Is there anything more exciting or something outstandimg that might delight her. She does not want to take time off work so anything will have to be on her day off. I can do the flowers and the breakfast in bed. But i want to really surprise her if that is possible?

 Oh, I nearly forgot, don't forget a small birthday cake. Or you could leave the birthday cake for the evening meal?
And if money is tight then a walk through a public Botanical park, with a nice picnic lunch there. Still beatiful, just a lot cheaper than the other suggestions.

Can you afford a helicopter ride to a scenic place? A beach? A public park? And a picnic lunch there and then the helicopter come back to pick you up three hours later?
Picnic lunch could have some cold cuts, nice salads, maybe a small quiche. A bottle of champagne or what ever she likes to drink. Followed by some fruit on scewers - you could hand feed her. Don't know how soon the birthday is but you would have to do some preliminary work to get approvals to land the helicopter in a special out of the way place.
Or if you are by the sea or a lake could you ask to be taken to by boat for a cruise around a bay, or to another destination, land on the beach and be collected later by the boat to go home. But this time the lunch could be either on the deck or on the beach.
I like your idea of breakfast in bed and the flowers.
Another thought is a hot air balloon to a destination. And arrange to come back home, maybe another relative could be waiting for you with a car to bring you home? Or drive your car to the final destination so that you could drive her home. This last one is a little more scary. Depends if she likes a little bit of scary or if she likes things safer.
If she likes animals and likes outdoor zoos where the animals run free and are not in cages she might like to stay overnight in one of the cabins and wake up to all the sounds of the animals.,
