Flavored lubes feel, smell and have a slightly sweet taste. I would recommend those. Be sure you pee after sex (this prevents urinary tract infections and pelvic inflammatory problems). You may be experiencing these symptoms because you were not fully aroused before sex. Make sure he spends enough time to make you feel excited sexually, lubes only do half the job. The rest comes from arousal. Good luck.

I agree with Candid Cally. you need to go see the gyn for an exam and be honest with him/her about the pain after intercourse... no wonder you need lube.

You need to have a pelvic exam.
To help alleviate the pain and cramps, you can use an over the counter pain relief product.

Brekel66 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionSometimes I have issues relaxing all the way so I get tense an that why I wa wondering about lubes. After a very painful first try I get afraid it will hurt again. We have ky touch massage lotion but I don't like it very much.Basically morning after my stomach cramps like menstural cramps is what it feels like.

KY makes lots of interesting lubes including a warming lube... I never liked them.
they also make a stimulating gel that is not a lube but is to be rubbed on the clitoris... also no big thrills here...
at your age are you experiencing much dryness? if you are then your husband is not properly exciting you and doing his job of preparing you for intercourse....
at MY age.. lube is necessary due to hormonal changes...
and for that I prefer the silicone based lubes.. much more expensive but a nicer feel and lasts longer...
NOW.. for the painful morning after stomach cramps and muscle fatigue I think you need to see your gyn... that is NOT NORMAL... INTERCOURSE should NOT HURT EVER... if it hurts something is WRONG.

Lube can be a lot of fun! True it shouldnt be necessary but still beats saliva on a clitoris!! We got some bottles of water based lube with interesting aromas like artificial pina colada etc etc. Fun on nipples too.

Muscle cramps? That's a medical issue if you are having these after sex, so you should go see a doctor, however, if it's just muscle fatigue, start working out and do some strength training exercising, strengthen that core.

As CindyCares states, you don't really "need" a lubricant. And if you do ... she gave some great directions. For what it's worth: my GF needs a lubricant; it's a medical condition, we know about it and we're glad someone at some point invented a lubricant. Some lubricants can add an extra dimension to your experience though. In Europe, durex sells a warming (hard to describe what it does exactly) and a tingle lubricant (that contains a bit mentol, it feels kind of cool). Both are fun to use but I haven't tried other brands yet ...In the same category, they also produce play O that doesn't classify as a proper lubricant but adds to your the general sensation and is supposed to intensify your orgasms. My GF says it works ;-)I think this is the kind of products you're looking for, no?

Again ? What's with this lube craze on DC ? I wrote yesterday and I 'll repeat it today.Normally, you don't need lube for vaginal penetration. A vagina is self lubricating. If you are properly aroused, and have spent enough time in foreplay, normally a young woman has the opposite problem- things may get quite too slippery .
If you routinely experience vaginal dryness , a ) you need to see a doctor , b ) you don't give yourselves enough time c) your husband is not pushing the right buttons, so to speak.
Same for " painful morning after stomach aches ". What stomach aches ? That sounds like a medical problem, sex is not supposed to cause painful stomach aches ! ( Muscle cramps, some times, it's just muscle fatigue if sexual activity has been particularly intense, vigourous and protracted ).

There's a person's natural lube - a touch of saliva works well and is always on hand - or water-based surgical lube. (The store brand equivalents of "KY-Jelly" are what we have used, but it has SELDOM been needed - it typically dries out in the tube before we finish the tube.)
The "painful morning after stomach aches and muscle cramps" sounds a medical problem that should be taken to your doctor. If anything, for us regular sex improved general relaxation and significantly reduced her menstrual cramps.
