writes:I recently heard about purity rings. What are they? Do they have a specific finger they go on? I know they have something ti do with premarital sex, I'm assuming that it means you'll wait for marriage? If thats true, do you have to wait till marriage? Or just a certain age?  Purity rings are worn by people who want to be abstinent or be virgins until marriage. I think they would be worn on the right hand, propably on the ring finger since the people who are wearing it propably aren't married. If you're going to wear the ring, then you should honor it's meaning and be abstinent until marriage. But if a person doesn't want to wait or doesn't plan on waiting, then they shouldn't wear the ring at all.

It means that the person wearing it has made a religious vow that they will wait til they are married before having sex. Just because you wear a purity ring, it doesn't mean that you have no choice but to wait til marriage. It's up to you whether you see the promise through, but obviously there's no point in wearing one if you're just going to break the promise. It'd be a bit like having a divorce I think, because you're breaking a vow that had religious ties. I think girls normally wear them on their marriage finger and then replace it with their wedding ring when they get married. But as I said, people also wear purity necklaces, bracelets and other types of jewellery.

Ok purity rings are a symbol that you will wait to have sex until you are married. It can be worn on any finger or even a necklace or something. be proud to show it off because you are making a vow of celebacy and you are saving yourself for the right guy and your wedding night. I hope this helps
