I can understand why you kissed her, I suffer badley from coldsores and get them monthly, it's like torture not kissing my boyfriend for so long but you just have to have willpower not to do so. Then if you do catch one when hers is almost gone, then you have to go another few weeks without kissing again etc, and it just becomes a continous cycle.
If you have a bump and there's no tingling then chances are it's still a coldsore. If its not blisted yet put ice on it for about 30 minutes to and hour and then use abit of aftershave or your mums/girlfriends perfume on it. It ting;es abit but it speeds up getting it healed.
In future, try and not tempted each other. It's not worth it waiting all that time after, and once you get coldsores then you have them for life which is the annoying part.
Oh and no other stuff, e.g. oral unless you fancy genital herpes. (;
