 Some people will say otherwise, but I find that you need to get rid of blackheads by pinching them (carefully). If you don't, they just become darker and bigger and you look disgusting. So, for that only, I recommend pinching them.
Gina gave you good advice. I would only add that you need to wash your face frequently. When I was a teen-ager there was a sponge called Buff-Puff. It was supposed to be a way for women to get rid of all their make up, but it was also great for gentle scrubbing. They were inexpensive and I could use them with regular soap.
I understand that in some countries they don't sell merthiolate anymore. It worked very well, as with the toothpaste.
And then, if you have pus, heat the tip of a needle and pinch it. Then you can squeeze gently, and you won't have any scars.
