We've now been apart for longer than we were together. Why does this still get me down?

This has got to stop.

My ex and I split up back in February because I was leaving the town where we went to university together this summer. It was my final year and her first. A short time after we split she started seeing another guy and they've been together ever since. I on the other hand had a "no strings" fling with a girl before I left town, and since I have come home I dated a girl, but her dedication to her job prevented anything serious developing.

It's been over five months since me and my ex broke up. We were only together for four and a half months! I feel like I should be over her by now, but the fact that she moved on so quickly, the fact that she and her new guy have almost surpassed our relationship in terms of length and the fact that I still haven't moved on myself is really getting me down. I just want to move on with my life! I'm sick of feeling this way. I just want to get her off my mind and find somebody new!

Why is it taking me so long to get completely over her? I've accepted we're over, so why is the break up still affecting me? We've now been apart longer than we were together. Why does this still get me down? Please help!
