Question - (6 February 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 7 February 2009)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I had a boyfriend for almost 1 1/2 years that I just broke up with 2 weeks ago. My reason for breaking up with him was because there was another boy that I started to like and I didn't think it was fair to my boyfriend to stay with him when I had some sort of feelings for someone else. I told my boyfriend that I was confused and needed a break. He said breaks were stupid and why didn't I just break up with him. So I did. So now this other boy is already telling me that he loves me and that he wants to be with me so bad and that he couldn't imagine his life without me. I have been really good friends with him for about 6 months and we have really gotten to know each other pretty well. My question is at 14 and 15 years old do you think that he actually does love me and should I take a chance with him? It's only been 2 weeks since I broke up with my boyfriend and I don't want to rush into another relationship yet, but I'm afraid I might lose this guy. He said that he will wait for me until I am ready. Friends at school are already asking if we are going out because he act like it. I've told him I love him too. What should I do?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (7 February 2009):

It's possible.

But at your age, such a thing is quite rare.

Unlike the previous poster, I say that love has no bounds like time.

It can take fifty years to know y8ou love someone, trully love them. Or it can take 50 seconds.

But remember, it doesn't often work that way. So we must cherish and savour the times when it does.
