We're both getting pretty upset about not being able to spend more time together, what can I say to comfort her?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been with this girl for over a year now.

And it's a long distance relationship,

We live about 3 hours away from eachother.

I try my best to please her, but I either have work or whatnot when she's free.

I try to see her as much as I can, but I haven't seen her in like 2 or 3 months and we are both getting really upset about it.

Any advice on what I can say to comfort her?

Any advice at all is fine.

Thanks.

A reader, anonymous, writes (6 May 2008):

I too am in a long distance relationship and understand. The only "comfort" will be time spent together. We MAKE time for what is important to us, and if you are not making time for each other, perhaps you should really talk to each other and find a time and place to be together. There is absolutely no substitute for making time to spend together.
