reader, anonymous, writes (13 September 2008): you didnt say why you cant be together do that makes it just a little bit harder to answer this, but like the other 2 have already said, keep yourself busy, do things you enjoy most, maybe go swimming or to the gym once or twice a week, go out with your friends, do whatever it is you do, give it a bit of time but think about seeing other guys, obviously dont go out with them if your not interested but go on a few dates, get to know them... i'm sure you'll find someone who you'll be happy with.

Trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never knew.
When we're in love we tend to believe that he's the only one who can make us happy. But there's other guys out there, like superrrshawna said "Give another guy a chance".
Even if you don't like him and you stop seeing him just after the first date. It's just to make you realize that there's other guys in the world.

get busy, keep your head out of the clouds [because that's probably where he is], and find someone new! even if it doesn't feel like you love him, give a new guy a chance. you might be surprised. those are my best 3 pieces of advice, i have used them several times and it always works! good luck.
