Help!

My best friends older brother and his friends were smoking, we knew it. We decided to find out of we were right. Then we accidentally walked in on them!! There faces showed it all, plus the cigarettes on the ground and the smoke. They were planning to not let us go then but one got scarred and they let us go. We tried to tell their mom but my friends brother lied and said only one of them was smoking. I know we should tell but how? We are both afraid of the 17 year olds, but we have to tell. How should we tell? Please help!

I would start with telling your own parents and maybe your mother will call their mothers. It takes a village to raise a child after all....so don't deal with his brother, deal by letting adults take care of it, that gets you off the hook, and your mom will be proud of you for your concern, alchohol is a serious thing, it can cause brain damage in a kid that young, so I agree, tell on that one.

Well, we also caught them doing alcohol!! I haven't told yet, but I am planning to talk to my friends brother. We could save his life. I want to say we tried.

From what you have written you have already told the mother and the boy lied that he wasn't smoking, too. I am sure the mom is wise to his cover, so mission accomplished.

You could help all these boys out by telling them how stupid they look smoking cigarettes.

By saying, girls don't like kissing guys who taste like an ash tray.

By saying, you are going to look stupid without any lips if you keep smoking those cancer sticks.

By saying, your clothes and hair smell like cigarettes, that is soooo gross.

Of course don't say all of those at once, but let them know what you think about it.....that should give them something to think about.

I agree, you don't need to tell, and nobody likes a snitch. Would you like it if someone told your parents that they caught you skipping school???

You don't have to tell, it's no big deal, they Are seventeen, old enough to make their own decisions x

eyeswideopen agony auntWhy do you have to tell? Nobody likes a tattletale besides this falls under the "mind your own beeswax" in my estimation.
