He's drifted away because he's lost interest in your relationship. 10 - 12 year olds often have short attention spans and that is exactly why you don't want to have committed relatiosnhips at your age. There will plenty of time to "be all over" somebody when you are old enough to handle it. Enjoy your childhood.

3-5 weeks is not a long time to be in a relationship, because you seemed concerned about the way he is treating you, i would ask him why he is not showing you the affection he showed you through the last 5 weeks, if he gives you an answer you are not happy with then it is time to move on, and find yourself some one who is more reliable.
