We tried once, it didn't work, should I try again with her?

A male Australia age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Hi all,

So I was involved with someone for a few months back in late 2010, before we decided that it wasn't working.

Anyway, fast forward to mid-2011 and we decided to try to make it work again as we couldn't get over each other. But as per the first time, it failed again.

She got into a relationship and told me that she definitely didn't see us together again, but about 3 months ago we started talking together and at which stage she inferred (even according to her friends and mine) that she wasn't in love with her boyfriend and was still in love with me. After thinking about it and being told by a lot of different people, I stopped talking to her again as I thought it was unfair on her boyfriend for us to talk.

Fast forward 3 months and we're now talking again, however this time she no longer has a boyfriend and seems flirty. I've been told by one of her friends that I shouldn't risk it again and try and make it work again as she would probably use me as a rebound but then start liking me again... Another friend has told me to try and make it work, and if it doesn't then use it as a life experience and as reassurance that it wasn't meant to be and that it just wasn't meant to be.

I am in two minds about it, I don't know whether I should try to make it work or not...

Help?

Thanks in advance.
