We talked & not talked, fooled around & stopped, now he stares saying nothing, what does this mean??

ive liked this boy for about 2 years, and we used to talk constantly, then one day we went out and we got really close, from then we started going out loads, weve kissed millions of times and done other stuff, we both admitted to liking each other, but it was secret between me and him, he didnt want anyone knowing.Then after abit we faded away, we dont talk now, even though were in the same lessons and the other week, when we were on our own he said he still wants to go out, but havent spoke since then, but in class, he is constanlty staring at me, and when i look at him he stares at me, what does this mean?
