writes: Well i like my cousin and he likes me to and i like him because he is really sweet to me and treats me different than other guys.He lives in Mexico and i live in California so as u can see we arent really close cousins.The first time i met him was 2 yrs. ago while i was in Mexico and we talked and we both liked each other but i still need help.I dont know wat to do so please help me with this problem?what should i do ?

But falling for and actually acting on feelings such as a relationship with your cousin can cause you much emotional turmoil in the future. Especially the stress that it will put on your family and the social consequences of dating a family member. There are plenty of nice fish in the sea and it is definatley worth waiting, you'll thank me later when you look back at this decision and say boy I'm glad I didn't do that. There are also issues of higher risks of deformities in children who result from these types of relationships.

But with family it is much better that you look outside of the family to find your relationships. The chance of having children with defects runs higher as well as the emotional consequences that your family will have to deal with. Don't worry hun you are still young and there are plenty of nice fish in the sea.
