 did he give you a reason as to why it was called off?? this sounds like there is a lack of communication between you both, talk to him about it. Ask him why he think you dont care? and why the day out was called off? maybe there is a valuable explaination, and you just cant see it.

I think your boyfriend has felt a bit neglected as this was supposed to be a day that you spent together instead you went out to the place were you both should have been and maybe that has upset him that you spend the day with someone else. why not sit down and talk to him tell him how much you love hima nd if you knew it would upset him as much as this you wouldn't have sone it. Try to make it up to him. arrange another day out but make sure you and your boyfriend spend the day together. and not with different people.
