My suggestion would be that if you plan on dating this girl, u better be serious about it. Dont take this girl for granted because not only would u lose the girl but ur friend as well. good luck.

Just sit down with your friend and make sure that he really is ok with the idea of the two of you dating and everything that comes with it. If he agrees then i don't see any reason for you to be uncomfortable =]

There is nothing wrong with going through with it. Just keep in mind that what ever bump you have with the sister you will have with your friend also...blood is thicker than water, remember?
Your uneasiness probably comes from the fact that keeping your budding relationship on the DL until you are ready and comfortable to admit to it is just that much more difficult because you are dating the sister of one of your friends.
Remember that in spite of all the macho-bravado, us men are just as chatty and gossipy as the ladies.
