writes: My boyfriend and i have recently split up ( 2 weeks ago) we grew up together since we were 7 ( our families are close ) we r both now 21, and we have split up before but always come back to each other, but this time im scared iv lost him forever, and im not giving him up i know what we have is too special to throw away. He said he does still love me and he aint saying we wont ever get back together, he jsut needs time to sort himself out and have his own space. he has been very unhappy this past year as he has tried to get his own business up and running, but it has`nt been going well and he aint had no money, but lately i thought we had been getting on great and he agrees. i just dont understand why we have split up cause it doesnt make sense, im not in his way of him sorting things out, if anything im here for him to help him. But he is so proud and stubborn and likes to do things off his own back . I love him and he says he loves me, how do i get him back?

reader, anonymous, writes (14 September 2006): I think perhaps you should hold on to the letter for a couple of weeks, then re-read it and decide if you still want to send it. I know emotions are stronger right after a break up, and you may find in a week or two you want to say something different. Just a thought.

faye w is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthankyou very much for getting back to me, i think you have given me great advise, and i am going to try my hardest to leave him be and give him a wide berth.... and in time he will come back, but i am finding it very hard, and i have wrote him a letter with all my feelings inside it and explaining things about our relationship and how i think we could make it work this time. i was going to drop it through his door on sunday, do you think this is still a good idea??
