writes: okay this is my dilemma. Me and my girlfriend of 3 months have recently broke up. The reason why we broke up is because she had feelings for another guy and he has feelings for her. I was devastated and heart broken. We didnt talk anymore for a couple days and I have always seen her and the other guy. I moved on pretty quickly. In about 3 days. But she called me at 2:30 in the morning one night with tears in her eyes because she had family problems. Her dad had walked out. My question is why did she come to me for help? She could've just called the guy she left me for. They do seem pretty close after all. Is this karma at work?

aznrzn is verified as being by the original poster of the questionBut really though, i actually want to help her. But, I still feel bitter about how this all ended. The new guy she left me for, she has known him longer that she has known me. Idk what to think in all of this.

Karma at work isn't what I'd call it, no. You she was with for a long time, she has a connection to you - much deeper than any connection she's made with this new guy. Clearly her brain has cleared since she has had such a rough thing happen in her life and she's turned to someone who she knows she can talk to.
She needs a friend, a companion. Be one for her.
