writes:Okay so i had this serious relationship for almost 7 months. The guy and I were each others 'first' and I was his first girlfriend. We discussed a future together and everything. I really love him, and up until yesterday he said the same. Weve been broken up with for 3 days now and now hes saying I 'broke' the love he had for me, and that he only loves me as a friend. He also said we still have a future, and I know well get back together. He's very active in a sport and basically that's all he cares about. Now, its the sport's season, and I just know that's the main reason he did all this. He don't want any 'loose' baggage. What do I do? btw, he still texts me everyday and we say I love you. Hes even meeting me this Friday-HELP!

This sounds suspiciously like he's going to use you. Please don't let that happen. By all means, speak to him, but make sure you don't do anything with him unless he is committed to you. He has said he doesn't want any baggage, which means you're second best to sport. Instead, why don't you try to move on. Go out with some friends and have fun. When you're ready you'll find a guy who will want to be with you.

reader, anonymous, writes (27 September 2009): This sounds like me and my girlfriend. We broke up like 2 or 3 months ago. We were together for lik 14-15 months. We both loved each other to death. But then we broke up cuz I made a pretty stupid mistake by not paying attention to her at this party when I promised her i would. Then only advice I can give u is that tell him u love him and if he wants u would be willin to be 'broken' up untill sports season is over. But tell him u are wanting to get back together after sports season. I also play sports. I hav football practice mon thru sat. And games on thurs. It very hard to even to simple things during the week let alone keep a girlfriend. So u guys both hav mouths. TALK TO EACH OTHER! :)
