writes: Such a mess...we'd been going out for almost a year, went through a couple of rocky periods (including an abortion), and then a couple of months ago I broke up with her because it felt she was just not into it anymore (which she eventually admitted was true). however, i decided i regretted my decision, and it turned out that i was the only one suffering, and still am. since then, we've developed into friends w/*some* benefits, but im having a hard time accepting her as something else than what she was to me, and its starting to take a toll on my life in terms of depression and whatnot. i feel like i can never get over her if i go on like this, but then again this seems unfair to deny her my friendship because of all we've been through. either way im miserable. any advice would be appreciated!

leave the benefits out of the friendship. simple. or just cool off for 3 months with no contact while allowing each other to move on.
