But this summer I have been feeling like he's more than a best friend now. He is super sweet and makes me laugh every time we hang out; but I don't know when I should tell him he means more than a best friend to me. I don't want to ruin our friendship and make things worse. But I'm ready to take things a step further; but I don't know if he's ready or if he even likes me the way I like him. We hold hands sometimes and we hug each other but I dont want to make things weird by hugging more and holding hands more. We aren't dating even though I said we hold hands. I am just stuck on what to say and what to do!!!!!!!!. please please help me!!!.

Well it is a risk but you should just come straight out and say your feelings, prolly in the same way you told us. There is of course the chance of rejection but life is already too short. If he is a good friend as you describe then even if he rejects you I am sure he will still care deeply for you. Just go for it. If it works out , you will be together, if you get rejected, you will still feel 100x better than you do now.

Well, if he likes holding your hands then I'd say he likes you more than just a friend.
Just tell him that you like him more than just a friend and ask him if he feels the same way.
If he's not sure then give him some time. Good chance he will come around later.
