writes:my friends phone just rang me in her pocket and i answered and could hear all my friends at a sleep over with out me and i could hear them bitching about me being a bitch and a slag... i text them to say i had heard all this and im not answering when they call but they sent me a message saying they were only joking around, and now they are in a mood at me saying it was only a joke and to get over it and that if i was there i would be bitching as well, i don't know what to do i havn't got anyone else to go to, we are a really close group of friends but latly i have slowly been kicked out! please help? any advice? thankyou

reader, anonymous, writes (27 July 2011): I'm sorry to say it honey but they aren't your friends at all... that was a horrible way to find out. They're trying to pass the whole incident off a joke *now* because they never expected you to find out about what they'd said. If they were genuine they wouldn't have been speaking ill of you behind your back in the first place: true friends don't to that, period. If they're trying to cut you out of the group then I'd say good riddance to them, because you don't need two-faced people like that in your life! Don't ever be afraid to walk away from those who don't treat you well for fear of being alone. Believe me, you can find better friends - ones you can actually trust :) Good luck and take care x
