Question - (8 March 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 9 March 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I was with my boyfriend for 2 years and it was good, then just before christmas 2009 he decides he doesn't care about me anymore and that we drifted apart. We drifted apart because it was me making all the effort to go to him and i got sick of doing this, even though i loved him i wanted some effort returned.

We always said we'd remain friends but now he acts like I don't exist, almost acting like i broke up with him and he's upset.

Why is he acting like this and will we ever have a possible friendship?

hi i have a very similiar problem.my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me a few weeks ago.im heartbroken, and i dont know how long it will take to stop hurting.i had enough the other day and rang her, just to talk to her,and see if i could put my mind at ease.she said that she would help me through this and would be there whenever i needed someone and we could be friends. i think if you and we remain friends with our partners, there will always be in the back of our minds the hope of someday reconciling with them. over time you should see him less and less, little by little, until one day you will realise that you don,t need him in your life anymore friend or not.and maybe someday i will be able to do the same... and i hope you find peace in your life
