Talk to him about it. I guess it depends what they are talking about... Are they just saying Hi, how are you? Or are they planning to meet etc. If it is just innocent, I guess it should be okay.
But the fact that you two said you wont talk to your ex's, shows that you have to at least talk to him why he has, and why he lied to you. He might be hiding something.
