It can also help if he stops and pulls out part way through, when he's starting to feel like he can't last any more. Yes, it's distracting and interrupts the flow, but it can draw things out significantly. He'll only need to wait five or ten seconds before you can start up again.
I've heard that if you reach down and gently pull his testicles down (i.e. toward his knees) that that can help.
