writes: I have quite an embarassing and weird problem. You see, fromt ime to time, I watch porn. I'm not a lesbian nor am I bi, but I get off on those women's bodies, because they are so perfect! However I'm very much into men, and I love my boyfriend very much.The thing is, I'm not addicted or anything, I watch it only from time to time, and sure I get off, but afterwards I feel so bad. I feel ugly because I'm not as attractive as these women. I know my boyfriend watches it from time to time too, and I know he thinks these women have ideal bodies, too. How can I stop feeling so ugly after I watch porn? How can I stop watching porn altogether? It's not something I'm proud of, etc. But especially since looking at these women, knowing they're so hot and that I wished I had bodies like those (because face, make up and hair - ugh)... I just feel very unattractive. The issue is that this is not a "my boyfriend watches porn and I feel ugly" question, it's an "I watch porn and feel ugly" question! HELP!

reader, anonymous, writes (1 September 2009): Do you and your boyfriend ever go out for special occasions? A friend's wedding, an office dinner party, that kind of thing? You get all dolled up -- you take extra care with your makeup, your hair, your clothes, all that sort of thing. Right?
Sometimes there's a photographer there, like at a wedding where they get shots of every table. All the folk looking their best. Sometimes they'll even get the pics photoshopped, to get rid of red eye or blemishes.
Is the person you see in that photo the one you see in the mirror when you wake up in the morning?
Do you really think the girls in porn look like that in the morning?
Girls in porn are about as real as the photoshopped wedding pic. They're shown off as a fantasy. Ever see the tabloid pics of Julia Roberts or Jessica Simpson at the supermarket? They don't look much like the pics in Vogue, do they?
Your boyfriend gets to wake up in the morning with a real live warm girl. That's one whole hell of a lot more satisfying than an image of some plastic, made-over 10x chic on a computer screen.
