In fact up until this point nothing romantic has been said, you just talk as friends but until 5, 6am at times. Eventually you meet....and sleep together that very same day! Its amazing! Would you consider this as 'sex on the first date'? This happened to me. We are still together 3 months later but sometimes I feel bad for sleeping together so soon. However as we knew each other so much beforehand is it really the same as a 'first date' scenario? Although it was the first time we 'met'! What do you think?- Note we're still together now 3 months later and our relationship is really strong!

I would personally not have sex the first time you meet ANYONE no matter if you've been chatting for years.
I would advise in general that you have to give out the physical stuff slowly, just so that it's drilled into him that you are Not That Kind Of Girl. Men's brains are generally stupid and they judge you, even though they are allowed to sleep around with no judgement on them. Not fair but true.
You are lucky to have a guy with a good non-judgemental brain.

If all is good, then who cares.
I would say its sex on a first date yes. But its a bonus if you had talked for a while beforehand.
