We knew everything about each other and we liked all the same things. Well, we were walking down a street on new years (btw I was 11 and he was 15) and he just blurted out to me,"I love you" I didn't know what to say really cuz I had had a crush on him for months. I wasn't sure of what to say bc like I said we were cousins but we were distant. Then he leaned over and kissed me. He was 15?! I was absolutly freaking out inside. I kissed him back. And I did hard. The next week I slept over at his house (no one knew we were together) and I snuck into his room at night. All we did was make out. That night I wrote about it in my diary and my father read it and he jumped to a conclusion that we had sex. When he talked to me about it I couldn't believe he thought so low of me. So I have two questions. Was it ok to do this with my cousin? And should my father have had thought so low of me?

He's a distant cousin, it's fine, hon :) But, your father was wrong to read you diary and accuse you in such a way. Fathers can be like this, they know what it's like to be young and male and when they see you growing up, they get scared. They want to keep you a little girl but at the same time, they know you'll be having your own life and secrets and they can't protect you from everything. Believe or not, in his mind, he probably thought he was somehow protecting you-reading your diary to see if you were in trouble or doing bad. Keep a diary on a personal USB drive and put a password, more private :) Just make sure the password isn't obvious! I used to use the names of really old books as passwords like: theodysseyrox! OliverTwisted56! Small heads up here hon, keep it friends with Tyler for now. A 4yr age gap at this point is pretty wide and since you're both teens, chances of breaking up are higher and it'll be awkward seeing each other if you do break up. Best of luck, dear!
