Was it a miscarriage or just because of the mini-pill?

Question - (14 March 2008) 3 Answers - (Newest, 15 March 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

A couple of months ago I missed a period for two months, then the middle of the second I started bleeding, lightly at first and then after that like a proper period. I'm on Cerazette (a Mini-Pill) and am using condoms but they broke quite a few times. I kinda felt like I was pregnant so what has been bugging both me and my boyfriend since is - was it a miscarriage or just because of the mini-pill? I know you wouldn't seriously be able to tell me, I just wondered if anybody had any ideas.

Thanks.

Ok thanks guys, I suppose I was being a bit irrational and it probably was the mini-pill, after all I'd only been on it 3/4 months. I think perhaps it was a faulty condom pack, because since that pack there has been no problems with them breaking.

Thanks again!

Jmo agony auntI'm not quite sure what the mini-pill is but I do know that any form of oral contraception messes with your hormones and can cause your period to become irregular, at least for a while. With regards to your condoms breaking, are you sure he's putting them on properly?

Gena Bullock agony auntIt sounds like your boyfriend(s) need to get bigger condoms for starters, if they keep breaking. Also, you may need to take a pregnancy test, just to be sure. Better safe than sorry. You don't want to be taking the pill if you're pregnant.
