Was I just seeing things? An aparition, perhaps?

i was walking home from a friends house it was about 3:20am it was quiet, as i was walking i heard some laughing, so i walked on then i notice a girl who was quite a distance away from me at first walking behind me a few minutes later i heard her running behind me then she stoped, then a few minutes later she started to run again i expected to say someone or even shout but she did not say anything at this point i was sort of thinking? it's really late why would you start running to a stranger you do not know? a few minutes later i turned to walk down the road when she crossed the road then she headed towards a passageway i caught a lttle look of her but she was no one i know or reconised?, i certainly have not seen her before then 10 minutes later has i walking up the road i sore her again she crossed a road running and was in front of me this time then she turned down a street has i was walking i look in the direction were she was running as i had to cross the street to go the direction i walk home and she dissapeard which was a little odd? has she could not of walked that fast i mean if she ran without her heels on she would have to be faster then usain bolt to get down that street that fast, and it was late and i had not had a drink that night? just wondering what thoughts or advice on this strange behavior?
