reader, anonymous, writes (1 January 2010): You need to EDUCATE yourself about reproduction. Every time a woman conceives there is a 50/50 change of a boy. It is the same as flipping a coin. There are NOT women on this planet that only produce females, so your desire to have another woman carry your child is going to have the same 50/50 chance, but KEEP READING...Here's a quote from a medical web site:"The genetic sex of a child is determined at conception. The mother's egg cell (ovum) contains an X chromosome, while the father's sperm cell contains either an X or a Y chromosome. These X and Y chromosomes determine the child's genetic sex."Ok, so here's what determines the sex of a child- the chromosome in the man's sperm. So, if you believe that your wife is responsible for only producing girls you need to apologize to her today. There are some who believe that nature makes it easier for girls to be conceived and carried to delivery as the species requires more female than males to remain viable. Statistically, this does not seem to bear true but there are about 49.7% females in the world vs. 50.3% men. DO THE RESERACH- and educate yourself on what determines the sex of a child. If you want to have sex with another woman or have multiple relationships, then do so, but you can not blame your wife on your three girls.

The flag next to your name is South Africa. I beleive that plurial marriage is legal in parts of South Africa.
If this is the case, talk to your wife about having a second wife.
If not, you must consider that if you have created 2 daughters, your daugthers can bring home 3 husbands all of whom will be like sons to you. Furthermore, some of your grandchildren may be sons was well.
I had an uncle with three daughters. All married men that my uncle gets along with. He has 7 grandchild, and 6 of them are boys. He does things with his son-in-laws and his grandsons that he never got to do with his own daughters, and he is happy.
Focus on your daughters, and raise them to be good people. Appreciate what you have. There are many childless couples who beg to be able to adopt, and there are many children in the world that have been abandoned by their parents that need a home. Adoption is an option.

I understand that some men have a desire for a son, but you don't get to choose and even if you had one with another woman you might have another daughter.

The sex of a baby is determined by the chromosomes in the male's sperm, so there is absolutely no guarantee that impregnating another woman will result in the birth of a son. Just ask my friend who would love a son but instead gets to love and adore her 6 daughters!
