Valentines day tips for a new relationship

Question - (1 February 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 February 2011)
A male United States age 41-50, *ajburn writes:

I am in a new relationship with a girl (4 months) and she sent me a text message and I do not know how to feel about it. She told me that she does not want to be my valentine because she promised her heart to a couple of her girlfriends. But I should still write her a poem for the weekend after.

We haven't said anything about "love" yet so I was not entirely concerned about V-day. But now I feel pressured to write some poetry. I have never written a poem before and do not know how. Are there any tips for writing a poem or something else I can do that would be equally nice?

I do not want to go overboard since it is a new relationship and we have not even talked about being in an exclusive relationship yet.
