deejuliet agony auntIt is very sweet of you to want to get her a valentines gift, but as you are not actually in a relationship with her and she IS in a relationship with another guy you really should not go overboard. A card and a small token gift, like a fist sized teddy bear or a book you think she might enjoy would be nice. If you get her anything that is too much it could cause trouble or put her off. Just a small something, under $10, would touch her and make her think you are sweet. Then if she ever does break up with her current beau, she will think nice thoughts of you and be open to a date perhaps.

You need to find out for definite if she's single or not before you go making any moves on her, a. because me might feel very guilty and you will feel very down and b. because you might have her boyfriend to answer to! Just ask her, say you noticed her relationship status but she'd never spoken about any guys and you were curious.
